Ice & Optional Add-ins

Method

Prepare Fruit

1

Prep mango and banana

Peel and dice enough ripe mango to measure about 1.5 cups. Slice half a ripe banana into rounds. If mango was frozen, let it sit 2–3 minutes at room temperature so the blender can process it smoothly.

Blend Smoothie

2

Add base ingredients

Into a blender add the diced mango (1.5 cups), sliced banana (0.5 cup), 1 cup plain Greek yogurt, 3 tablespoons chilled milk, 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup, and 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice.

3

Optional flavor boosters

If using, add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 teaspoon chia seeds at this stage.

4

Add ice

Add about 6 ice cubes for a chilled, slightly frothy texture. If you prefer a thicker smoothie, add 2–4 additional ice cubes or use frozen mango.

5

Blend

Secure the blender lid and blend on medium-high until completely smooth and creamy, about 30–60 seconds depending on your blender. Stop and scrape down the sides once if needed, then blend again until uniform.

6

Adjust consistency & sweetness

Check the texture. If too thick, add milk 1 tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached. Taste and add an extra 1/2 tablespoon honey or maple syrup if you prefer it sweeter; blend briefly to incorporate.

Serve

7

Pour the smoothie into a 16 oz glass. Garnish with a mango slice or lime wedge and 1–2 mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately with a straw.
