Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Oven and Ramekins
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease four ramekins with butter. Place them on a baking tray.
- 2
Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Melt them together over a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
- 3
Mix Sugar and Eggs
In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, large eggs, and egg yolks until well combined and slightly frothy.
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture. Add the vanilla extract and salt, then mix until fully incorporated.
- 5
Add Flour
Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- 6
Fill Ramekins
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling them about 2/3 full.
- 7
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.
- 8
Cool and Serve
Let the cakes cool for 1 minute before inverting them onto plates. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
