Sparkling Mineral Water (Pellegrino)
Optional Serving Garnishes
Method
Prepare Bottle
Chill
If the bottle of San Pellegrino is not already cold, place it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or in an ice bucket for 20–30 minutes, until well chilled. Serving temperature around 6–8°C (43–46°F) highlights the carbonation and flavor.
Inspect
Before opening, check the bottle for any visible debris or foreign matter. Ensure the cap or cork is intact and the bottle is not damaged.
Serve
Open
Hold the chilled bottle upright and gently twist the cap to open. If the bottle is sparkling and highly carbonated, open slowly to control any fizz and avoid overflow.
Pour
Tilt the glass at about 45 degrees and pour the sparkling water slowly down the side to preserve carbonation and minimize foaming. Fill to desired level.
Garnish (optional)
If desired, add a lemon wedge on the rim or squeeze a small amount of lemon juice into the water for a subtle citrus note. Alternatively, add a fresh mint sprig for aroma. Stir very gently once if citrus or mint is added.
Serve
Serve immediately while cold and effervescent.
