Cocktail
Method
Cocktail
Prepare glass
Fill a highball or Collins glass with cubed ice until nearly full to properly chill the drink.
Build
Into a cocktail shaker (no need to strain), add 2 oz Bently Heritage Source One Vodka, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.25 oz agave syrup. Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters. Add a small handful of ice to the shaker and give a quick, vigorous shake for about 5–8 seconds to combine and slightly chill the mix.
Assemble
Pour the shaken contents (including ice) into the prepared highball/Collins glass. Top with 4 oz chilled ginger beer, pouring gently to preserve carbonation. Give the drink one gentle stir with a bar spoon (3–4 rotations) to integrate without flattening the ginger beer.
Garnish and finish
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim and, if desired, a piece of candied or crystallized ginger speared on a pick. Serve with a straw or long spoon.
Notes
Adjust sweetness by increasing agave syrup up to 0.5 oz if your ginger beer is very dry; reduce if using a sweeter ginger beer. Use fresh lime juice for best brightness. For a spicier profile, choose a bold, fiery ginger beer.
