1

Prepare glass

If you prefer a salted rim, pour the coarse salt onto a small plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of a margarita or rocks glass, then dip the rim in the salt to coat. Set the glass aside in the freezer to chill while you mix the drink.

2

Combine ingredients

In a blender, add 2 cups of ice, 2 oz Sauza 901 Tequila, 0.75 oz Combier, 2 oz sour mix, and 0.5 oz freshly squeezed lime juice. If you like a slightly sweeter margarita, add 0.25 oz agave syrup.

3

Blend

Blend on high for 10–20 seconds, or until the mixture is smooth and has a thick, slushy texture. Stop and check consistency; if too thin, add a small handful (about 0.25 cup) of additional ice and pulse again. If too thick, add 0.25–0.5 oz sour mix or a splash of water and pulse once.

4

Serve

Remove the chilled glass from the freezer. Pour or carefully ladle the frozen margarita into the prepared glass, leaving a little room at the top to avoid spills.

5

Garnish

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Serve immediately with a straw or short spoon.
