Cocktail Base

Method

Prepare Glass

1

Rim the glass

Rub the lime wedge around the rim of a rocks or margarita glass. Spread the coarse salt or Tajin on a small plate and dip the moistened rim into it to coat evenly. Set the glass aside.

2

Fill the prepared glass with fresh ice and set aside to chill while you mix the cocktail.

Mix Cocktail

3

Add 2 oz Herradura Silver Tequila, 0.75 oz Solerno blood orange liqueur, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 1 oz blood orange puree, and 0.25 oz agave syrup (if you prefer slightly sweeter) into a cocktail shaker.

4

Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is frosty and well chilled.

5

Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared glass over fresh ice using both the shaker strainer and a fine-mesh strainer to remove pulp and small ice shards for a silky finish.

Finish & Serve

6

Garnish with a blood orange wheel perched on the rim and, if desired, a small lime wheel. Optionally express a thin twist of blood orange peel over the drink to release oils, then drop it in.

7

Serve immediately with a short stirring straw or cocktail pick.
