Punch Base
Combine juices and rum
In a large pitcher or punch bowl (capacity at least 2 liters), pour 2 cups Don Q rum, 2 cups cranberry juice, and 2 cups pineapple juice.
Add black raspberry
Add 4 tablespoons black raspberry liqueur or syrup to the pitcher. This gives the punch its signature 'turtle' black-raspberry note and a deeper color.
Balance acidity and sweetness
Stir in 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice. Taste the mixture; if you prefer it sweeter, add up to 2 tablespoons simple syrup and stir until dissolved.
Sparkle & Chill
Add ice then top with sparkle
Add about 6 cups of ice to the punch bowl or to a separate serving bowl if you want to avoid diluting the whole batch too quickly. Immediately before serving, gently pour 2 cups club soda or sparkling water into the punch to add effervescence. Stir once gently to combine — avoid vigorous stirring so you don't lose carbonation.
Adjust and hold cold
If the punch tastes too strong, add additional club soda or a splash more pineapple juice, 2 tablespoons at a time, until desired balance is reached. Keep the punch chilled by nesting the bowl in a larger bowl filled with ice, or add additional ice to individual glasses.
Garnish & Serve
Prepare garnishes
Float 6 lime wheels and 6 pineapple wedges in the punch bowl. If using, scatter 12 fresh raspberries across the surface for visual appeal and a fresh burst of flavor.
Serve
Ladle the punch into chilled glasses (about 6–8 oz / 180–240 ml per serving) ensuring each glass gets a piece of fruit and a bit of the bubbly. Serve immediately while fizzy.
Storage
If you need to make the punch ahead, prepare the punch base (rum + juices + liqueur + lime + simple syrup) and chill covered up to 24 hours. Add ice, club soda, and garnishes just before serving.
