Method

Cocktail

1

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with cracked or cubed ice.

2

Add 1 oz light rum, 1 oz spiced rum and 1/2 oz creme de banana to the shaker.

3

Pour in 2 oz fresh orange juice, 2 oz fresh pineapple juice and 1/2 oz fresh lime juice.

4

If you prefer a slightly sweeter, rounder finish, add 1/4 oz rich simple syrup. Add 1 dash Angostura bitters if desired for aromatic depth.

5

Cap the shaker and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled and slightly frothy from the banana liqueur.

6

Fill a highball or tiki glass with fresh ice (if using crushed/cracked ice, pack lightly).

7

Double-strain the mixture from the shaker into the prepared glass to remove small ice shards and any pulp.

8

Top briefly with a gentle stir to marry the juices and rums (no additional spirits required).

Garnish & Finish

9

Thread an orange wheel, pineapple wedge and maraschino cherry onto a cocktail pick or place them separately on the rim.

10

Optionally express a lime or orange peel over the drink to release essential oils, then drop it in.

11

Serve immediately with a straw. Enjoy chilled.

Equipment notes

12

Use fresh citrus for best flavor. If you do not have creme de banana, a banana liqueur with similar sweetness can be substituted but reduce simple syrup or omit to avoid cloying sweetness.
