Prepare glass
Choose a Collins or highball glass. Fill the glass with ice to chill while you mix the cocktail.
Mix
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice combine 2 oz Mother Earth gin, 0.75 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice, 0.5 oz sour mix and 0.25 oz simple syrup. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 10–12 seconds until well chilled.
Strain and top
Discard or keep the ice from the chilled glass, then fill the glass with fresh ice. Strain the shaken mixture into the glass over the ice. Top with approximately 2 oz club soda (about a splash) and gently stir once with a bar spoon to integrate the soda without losing too much effervescence.
