Method

Prepare the Fish

  1. 1

    Marinate the Fish

In a medium bowl, combine the olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Add the fish fillets and coat them well with the marinade. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Fish

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the marinated fish fillets and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove from heat and break the fish into bite-sized pieces.

Prepare the Cabbage Slaw

  1. 3

    Mix the Slaw

In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, chopped cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Toss well to combine and set aside to allow the flavors to meld for about 10 minutes.

Assemble the Tacos

  1. 4

    Warm the Tortillas

In a dry skillet, heat the corn tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until warm and pliable.

  2. 5

    Build the Tacos

To assemble each taco, place a few pieces of cooked fish on a tortilla, top with the cabbage slaw, and add a dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
