Preparing the Tortillas

Prepare the Dough
In a large bowl, mix the corn flour with water and salt until a smooth dough forms.

Shape the Tortillas
Divide the dough into 8 equal portions, and shape each portion into a ball. Flatten each ball into a disc, about 6 inches in diameter.

Cook the Tortillas
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook each tortilla for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until they are soft and lightly browned. Keep warm in a clean kitchen towel.

Cook the Meat
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

Add Spices
Stir in cumin, chili powder, and salt. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Mix in Black Beans
Add black beans to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook until heated through, about 2 minutes.
Assembling the Tacos

Fill the Tortillas
Take a warm tortilla and spoon some of the meat and bean mixture into the center.

Top with shredded cheese, sour cream, lettuce, diced tomato, and sliced avocado.

Fold the tortilla in half and serve immediately with your favorite salsa or hot sauce.
