Prepare glass
Chill a highball or Collins glass by filling it with ice and setting it aside while you mix the drink.
Mix
Add 2 oz Don Q Cristal white rum, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice and 0.5 oz simple syrup into a shaker filled with ice. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 10–12 seconds until well chilled.
Top & finish
Top the drink with approximately 2 oz soda water and gently stir once or twice to integrate. If using, add 1 dash of Angostura bitters on the surface for aroma.
Garnish & serve
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Serve immediately with a short stirring straw or swizzle stick.
