Frozen Margarita Mix

Method
Prepare Glass
Rim the glass (optional)
If you like a salted rim, run a lime wedge around the edge of a chilled margarita or coupe glass, then dip the rim into a small plate of coarse salt. Set the glass aside in the freezer for a few minutes to chill while you make the drink.
Make the Frozen Margarita
Add the tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, simple syrup (or agave), and ice to a blender. Use the quantities listed in the ingredients section.
Start the blender on low to break up the ice, then increase to high and blend until smooth and slushy — about 20–30 seconds depending on your blender and ice. If the mixture is too thin, add 1/4 cup (about 0.5 oz by volume) more ice and blend again; if too thick, add 1 tablespoon of water or 1/4 ounce lime juice and pulse to loosen.
Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity: add up to 1/4 oz more simple syrup (or 1/4 tsp agave) for sweetness, or 1/4 oz extra lime juice for brightness. Pulse briefly to combine after adjusting.
Pour the frozen margarita into the prepared chilled glass, using a spatula to get all the slushy mixture out. Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim.
