Burger Preparation

1

Prepare the Burger Patties

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined, then divide the mixture into 8 equal portions.

2

Stuff the Burgers

Take one portion of beef and flatten it out in your hand. Place a slice of pepper jack cheese in the center and top it with another portion of beef. Seal the edges to form a stuffed patty. Repeat for all portions.

3

Cook the Burgers

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the stuffed burgers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

4

Assemble the Burgers

Toast the burger buns on the grill or skillet. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cooked burger patty, tomato slices, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
