Preparation Instructions

1

Form the Patties

In a mixing bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the beef into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties.

2

Cook the Patties

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Place the patties on the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until browned.

3

Smash the Patties

Using a sturdy spatula, smash the patties down to create a crispy crust. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the desired doneness is achieved.

4

Add Cheese

Place a slice of American cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking. Cover with a lid to help the cheese melt.

5

Assemble the Burger

Spread dijonnaise on the bottom half of each burger bun. Place the cooked patty with melted cheese on top, followed by shredded lettuce and onion-pickle relish. Top with the other half of the bun.

6

Serve

Serve the Smash burgers immediately with your favorite side.
