Preparation Directions
Prepare the Wontons
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the wonton wrappers into triangles and arrange them on a baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Prepare the Tuna
Season the tuna steaks with salt and pepper. Press sesame seeds onto both sides of the tuna steaks. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and sear the tuna for 1-2 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove from heat and let rest before slicing.
Prepare the Salad
In a large bowl, combine the napa cabbage, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and Thai basil. Toss gently to combine.
Make the Dressing
In a small bowl, whisk together peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, honey, and a pinch of red pepper flakes. Adjust seasoning with water to reach desired consistency.
Assemble the Salad
Slice the seared tuna and layer it on top of the salad mixture. Drizzle with the spicy peanut dressing and top with crispy wontons.
