Collagen Drink

Method

Collagen Drink

1

Warm the water

Heat 8 oz (about 240 ml) of water to warm but not boiling — around 120–130°F (49–54°C). If you do not have a thermometer, aim for water that feels comfortably warm to the wrist.

2

Combine collagen and liquids

Place 2 tablespoons of grass-fed bovine collagen powder into a mug. Add 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice and 1 teaspoon raw honey to the mug.

3

Dissolve collagen

Pour the warm water over the collagen, honey, and lemon. Stir vigorously with a spoon for 20–30 seconds until the collagen powder is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth with no lumps.

4

Optional richness

If you prefer a richer, creamier drink, add 1 teaspoon grass-fed unsalted butter. Whisk or stir briskly until incorporated. This creates a slightly velvety mouthfeel.

5

Finish and serve

Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity: add an extra 1/2–1 teaspoon honey if you want it sweeter, or a few drops more lemon if you want brighter acidity. Sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon on top if desired. Serve immediately while warm.
