Glass Prep & Garnish
Rim the glass
Choose a martini or coupe glass (6–8 oz). Run the lime wedge around the rim of the glass to lightly moisten it. Dip the rim into a small plate of coarse salt or Tajín to coat the edge evenly. Set the glass aside.
Prepare garnish
Skewer the two pitted green olives on a cocktail pick. If desired, place a small lime wheel behind the olives on the pick for color.
Cocktail Assembly
Combine ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Lalo Silver Tequila, 1 oz Naranja orange liqueur, 1 oz fresh lime juice, 0.25 oz olive brine, and 0.25 oz simple syrup (optional).
Add ice and shake
Add a generous scoop of ice (about 1 cup) to the shaker. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is very cold and the mixture is well diluted.
Strain
Double-strain (use a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer) into the prepared chilled martini or coupe glass to remove ice shards and any pulp.
Garnish & serve
Float or rest the olive pick on the rim or drop the olives into the drink. Optionally tuck the lime wheel on the rim. Serve immediately.
