Prepare the Glass

If desired, rim the glass with salt. To do this, rub a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip it into a plate of salt.

Mix the Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, combine the Sauza tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup.

Shake it Up

Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.

Serve

Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge.
