Method

Preparation

1

Chill glass

If possible, chill the 20 oz take-home glass in the freezer for 10–15 minutes beforehand to keep the drink cold longer.

2

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.

Mixing the Spirits

3

Measure & combine

Add 1.5 oz New Amsterdam Raspberry Vodka, 1.0 oz Gordon's Gin, 0.5 oz light rum, and 0.5 oz Blue Curacao to the shaker filled with ice.

4

Add citrus and sweetener

Add 0.25 oz fresh lime juice and 0.25 oz simple syrup (optional) to the shaker to balance the flavors.

5

Shake

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 8–10 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels cold (this chills and dilutes slightly).

Assemble in Take-Home Glass

6

Fill the chilled 20 oz take-home glass about three-quarters full with fresh ice (reserve room for the energy drink).

7

Strain the shaken spirit mixture over the ice into the glass, pouring evenly.

8

Top gently with 10 oz Monster Energy. Pour slowly down the side of the glass to preserve carbonation and create a layered look if desired.

Finish & Garnish

9

Give the drink a very gentle stir (1–2 turns) with a bar spoon to just incorporate the energy drink with the spirits without flattening it.

10

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim and a cocktail cherry if using.

11

Serve immediately with a straw and a lid if taking to go.

Notes & Safety

12

Because this cocktail combines alcohol with a caffeinated energy drink, advise customers about stimulant effects. Do not serve to pregnant persons or minors.

13

Adjust sweetness by varying or omitting the simple syrup. For a stronger blue color, increase Blue Curacao to 0.75 oz and reduce light rum by 0.25 oz (maintain total alcohol volume to taste).
