Marinated cubes of tender beef stir-fried with ginger, three kinds of mushrooms, red & green peppers, macadamia nuts and scallions, complemented with lettuce.
In a bowl, combine the beef cubes, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced ginger, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
While the beef is marinating, slice the mushrooms, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper. Chop the scallions.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
Add the sliced mushrooms and bell peppers to the skillet. Stir-fry for an additional 5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender.
Add the chopped macadamia nuts and scallions to the skillet. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2 minutes.
Serve the beef and vegetable mixture on a plate with fresh lettuce leaves on the side for wrapping.
