Cocktail

1

Prepare glass

Select a rocks glass. Add 2–3 large ice cubes to chill the glass while you build the cocktail.

2

Measure ingredients

Measure 2 oz Jameson Irish Whiskey, 2 oz cold brew coffee, 0.75 oz Orphan Girl ginger liqueur, 0.25 oz simple syrup (optional), and 0.25 oz fresh lemon juice.

3

Build and stir

Discard the chilling ice from the glass. Add fresh large ice cubes to the glass. Pour the Jameson and cold brew into a mixing glass or shaker filled with ice, then add the Orphan Girl ginger liqueur, simple syrup (if using), lemon juice, and 2 dashes Angostura bitters. Stir gently for 20–30 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.

4

Strain and serve

Strain the mixture over the prepared rocks glass with fresh ice. If you prefer a slightly stronger coffee presence, pour directly over the ice without stirring; if you prefer a smoother integrated flavor, use the stirred-and-strained method.

5

Garnish and finish

Express a lemon twist over the drink to release oils and drop it in, or skewer a piece of candied ginger and rest it on the rim. Serve immediately.

6

Optional adjustments: Increase or decrease simple syrup to adjust sweetness; add a third dash of bitters for extra aromatic depth; substitute 0.75 oz ginger syrup + 0.25 oz dry ginger liqueur if Orphan Girl is unavailable.
