Strawberry Shake

Enjoy a creamy and refreshing regular-sized strawberry shake made with ripe strawberries and smooth vanilla ice cream.

A medium-bodied, crisp white wine from Oregon.

Select ripe Pinot Gris grapes from a reputable vineyard in Oregon. Ensure the grapes are free from rot and pests.

Harvesting the Grapes

Crush the grapes gently to extract the juice. You can use a wine press or do this manually. Collect the juice in a clean container.

In a sanitized fermentation vessel, combine the grape juice with water and add the acid blend. This will help balance the wine's acidity.

Preparing the Must

Sprinkle the yeast over the juice mixture and allow it to sit for 5 minutes before stirring gently. This will activate the yeast for fermentation.

Adding Ingredients

Cover the fermentation vessel with an airlock and place it in a cool, dark place. Allow the mixture to ferment for about 2 weeks, stirring daily.

After fermentation is complete, siphon the wine off the sediment into another clean vessel. This process is known as racking.

Racking the Wine

Add the sulfites to the racked wine to prevent oxidation and spoilage. Stir gently to mix the sulfites thoroughly.

Transfer the wine to oak barrels or glass carboys for aging. Allow the wine to age for at least 3-6 months for optimal flavor development.

Aging

Once aging is complete, bottle the wine using sanitized bottles and corks. Allow the wine to rest in the bottles for an additional month before consuming.
