Ice Cream

Method

Ice Cream

1

Chill serving dish (optional)

Place the dessert bowl or sundae glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes before assembling to help the ice cream keep its shape longer.

2

Decide which flavor to serve: vanilla or chocolate. Use two scoops of the chosen flavor per serving.

3

Use a scooper dipped briefly in warm water, then shaken dry, to make clean scoops. Scoop two rounded scoops and place them side by side in the chilled bowl or glass.

Toppings

4

Shake the can of whipped cream well (or if using freshly whipped cream, whip to soft peaks). Hold the can upright and spray or spoon about 3 tablespoons of whipped cream on top of the scoops to form a fluffy cloud.

5

If desired, drizzle 1 tablespoon of chocolate syrup over the whipped cream and ice cream in a decorative pattern.

6

Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of chopped nuts over the whipped cream if using.

7

Place one maraschino cherry on top of the whipped cream as the finishing garnish.

Serving

8

Serve immediately with a spoon and enjoy. If not serving right away, keep the assembled sundae in the freezer for no more than 10–15 minutes to avoid melting.

9

Clean the scoop and return any unused ice cream to the freezer promptly.
