Cocktail

Method

Prep the glass

1

Chill your rocks or margarita glass by filling it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail, or place it in the freezer for 5–10 minutes.

2

Pour the 1 tsp coarse salt onto a small plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of the chilled glass to moisten, then dip the rim into the salt to coat. Shake off any excess. Set glass aside.

Make the Margarita

3

Combine ingredients

Add 2 oz Tres Organic Gold Tequila, 1 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz fresh orange juice, and 0.5 oz agave syrup into a cocktail shaker.

4

Add ice

Fill the shaker with about 6 ice cubes (enough to nearly fill the shaker).

5

Shake

Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the shaker is well-chilled and slightly frosted. This chills and dilutes the cocktail to the right balance.

6

Strain

Discard ice or water from your chilled/salted glass. Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass over fresh ice (for a rocks style) or serve neat in the chilled coupe/margarita glass.

Garnish & Serve

7

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Optionally add an orange twist for aroma by expressing the oils over the drink and placing it on the rim.

8

Serve immediately. Recommend sipping and enjoying the bright citrus-agave balance with the smooth Tres Organic Gold Tequila.
