Cocktail

Method

Rim & Prepare Glass

1

Choose a chilled coupe or martini glass (or rocks glass if preferred). Run the grapefruit wedge around the rim of the glass to moisten it evenly.

2

On a small plate combine the granulated sugar and optional fine sea salt, mixing thoroughly. Press the moistened rim into the sugar mixture and rotate to coat evenly. Set the glass aside.

Mixing the Cocktail

3

Fill a cocktail shaker with the ice cubes.

4

Pour 2 oz Vivacity botanical gin, 1.5 oz fresh-squeezed pink grapefruit juice, 0.5 oz fresh-squeezed lime juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup into the shaker.

5

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the exterior of the shaker feels very cold and slightly frosted. This chills the drink and lightly dilutes it for balance.

6

Double strain the cocktail into the prepared sugar-rimmed glass to remove small ice shards and any pulp. Use a fine mesh strainer over the shaker's strainer for the cleanest pour.

Garnish & Serve

7

Express the grapefruit twist over the drink by holding it over the glass and giving a quick squeeze to release aromatic oils, then drop the twist into the glass or rest it on the rim.

8

Optionally float a thin grapefruit wheel or place the grapefruit wedge on the rim for visual appeal. Serve immediately.
