Method

Cocktail

1

Prepare and dry shake

If using egg white for a silky foam, add bourbon, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white to a cocktail shaker. Do a dry shake (no ice) vigorously for 10–15 seconds to emulsify and build foam.

2

Shake with ice

Add a generous handful of ice to the shaker (about 4–6 large cubes). Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the shaker is cold to the touch and well-chilled.

3

Strain and build

Double-strain the mixture into a chilled rocks glass filled with fresh ice to remove small ice shards and any egg white solids.

4

Add ginger ale and grenadine

Top the cocktail with approximately 2 oz ginger ale. Pour the 0.25 oz grenadine slowly down the side of the glass or over the back of a spoon so it sinks slightly and creates a layered 'millionaire' red-to-amber gradient.

5

Garnish and serve

Garnish with a lemon wheel or a twist of lemon peel. Serve with a short stirring spoon so the guest can gently swirl if they prefer a blended flavor.
