Tea Base

Alcohol & Citrus

Method

Make and Chill Tea

1

Brew

Brew 2 bags (or 2 tsp loose) of black tea in 2 cups of just‑boiled water for 3–5 minutes for a strong brew. Remove bags/leaves and allow tea to cool to room temperature, then chill in the refrigerator until cold (or use pre-brewed chilled black tea).

2

If you need the drink immediately, fill a heatproof container with ice and pour hot tea over the ice to rapidly cool (dilutes slightly). Otherwise refrigerate until fully cold.

Assemble Cocktail

3

Fill a tall glass with 1 cup of ice cubes.

4

Pour 2 oz vodka over the ice.

5

Add 2 cups of chilled strong black tea to the glass (this yields a generously sized drink; for a single-serving 12–14 oz glass, pour tea until about 10–12 oz including ice).

6

Add 0.5 oz (about 1 tablespoon) fresh lemon juice. If you prefer a brighter lemon flavor, add up to 0.75 oz.

7

Sweeten with 6 drops of liquid stevia. Taste and adjust: add more drops for sweeter (1–2 drops at a time) or add 0.25 tablespoon simple syrup if you prefer a sugar texture rather than concentrated stevia.

8

Stir well for 10–15 seconds to combine vodka, tea, lemon, and sweetener so the stevia distributes evenly.

9

Garnish with a lemon wheel or wedge on the rim. Optionally express a lemon peel over the top for extra aroma.

10

Serve immediately with a straw or stirring spoon.
