Cocktail
Chill glass
If desired, chill a coupe or rocks glass by filling it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail.
Measure and combine
Add 2 oz Eagle Rare 10yr bourbon, 0.5 oz Cointreau, 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice, and 0.75 oz honey syrup into a cocktail shaker.
Add ice and shake
Fill the shaker with ice (about 6 medium cubes). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels very cold and slightly frosty.
Strain
Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe or a rocks glass (if you prefer on the rocks) using a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer to remove ice shards and any pulp.
Serve
Serve immediately. Sip and enjoy the balance of bright lemon, honeyed sweetness, orange lift from Cointreau, and the warm oak spice of Eagle Rare.
