Gather Ingredients

Before mixing, chill a rocks glass by filling it with ice water. Set aside.

Chill the Glass

In a mixing glass, add 2 oz of Auchentoshan Single Malt Scotch Whiskey, 0.5 oz of simple syrup, 0.5 oz of fresh lemon juice, and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.

Combine Ingredients

Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir the mixture for about 20-30 seconds until well chilled.

Stir

Discard the ice water from the chilled rocks glass. Strain the mixed ingredients into the glass over fresh ice.

Strain and Serve

Twist a lemon peel over the drink to release its oils, then drop it into the glass as a garnish.
