Place the bottle of Hidden Crush Chardonnay in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving. Aim for a serving temperature of 45–50°F (7–10°C) to showcase fresh fruit and subtle oak.

Chill bottle (preferred method)

Fill an ice bucket or large bowl with 2 cups of ice and about 1 liter of cold water. Submerge the sealed bottle for 15–20 minutes, gently rotating occasionally until the bottle is chilled to 45–50°F (7–10°C).

Quick chill (if short on time)

Use a corkscrew to carefully remove the cork. Wipe the mouth of the bottle with a clean cloth or napkin to remove any cork debris or dust.

Open the bottle

Pour a small 1–2 oz (30–60 ml) sample into a glass and smell briefly: you should detect fresh fruit notes (apple, pear, citrus) with a hint of toasted oak. Take a small sip to confirm temperature and balance before serving to guests.

Taste check (optional)

Pour approximately 5–6 oz (150–180 ml) per glass, filling white wine glasses about one-third full to allow aromas to concentrate. If serving multiple guests, rotate the bottle and pour steadily to ensure even distribution.

Pour to serve

If desired, float a thin lemon wheel or a delicate apple slice on the rim or in the glass for an attractive accent and a subtle complementary aroma. This is optional and does not change the wine's flavor profile significantly.

Garnish (optional)

Select clean, room-temperature white wine glasses. Rinse glasses with cold water and let air-dry or wipe with a lint-free cloth to remove any water spots or dust that can interfere with aroma and appearance.

Arrange glasses on a table or tray. When serving, hold the bottle at the base and pour slowly to avoid splashing. Return the bottle to an ice bucket if serving over a longer period to maintain proper temperature.

Advise guests on tasting: encourage them to look at the wine's color (pale gold), swirl gently to release aromas (fresh fruit and subtle toasty oak), inhale to appreciate the bouquet, and take a moderate sip to enjoy the balance of fruit and oak.

Store any unfinished bottle upright in the refrigerator with a wine stopper and consume within 3–5 days for best quality. Note that Chardonnay can lose aroma and fruitiness the longer it is open.
