Perle d'Italia (choose 2 varieties)

Method

Perle d'Italia - selection & plating

1

Choose two varieties

Select any two Perle d'Italia flavors from the available options (for example: Classic Tomato & Basil and Olive & Herb). Each guest serving includes two small bottles/jars/portions of Perle d'Italia.

2

Chill the Perle d'Italia briefly (15–20 minutes) if they are served cold. If the product is typically room temperature, bring to desired serving temperature.

3

Open each Perla container just before serving. Place one Perla in each of the two small tasting ramekins (one flavor per ramekin) or keep them in their original small bottles placed upright on the board for guests to sample directly.

4

If the Perle are spoonable, provide a small spoon or spreader with each ramekin so guests can easily scoop or spread onto crostini.

5

Drizzle a tiny amount (about 1/2 teaspoon) of extra-virgin olive oil over each opened Perla if desired to enhance aroma and mouthfeel.

Accompaniments - arrange

6

On a serving board or platter, arrange 12–14 crackers or crostini on each side near each Perla so guests can easily sample both flavors.

7

Place a small heap (about 1/2 cup) of mixed olives on the board for shared snacking.

8

Scatter parmesan shards or thin cheese slices near the crackers for pairing with Perle and olives.

9

Tuck fresh basil leaves around the ramekins or bottles for a fresh, aromatic garnish.

10

Add lemon wedges on the board if one of the Perle varieties is lemony — guests can squeeze lightly on crostini if desired.

Service & final touches

11

Place the prepared board in the center of the table. Provide two small tasting plates and spreaders per guest if serving family-style so they can take small portions from each Perla.

12

Recommend pairings to guests verbally or with a small card (e.g., Tomato & Basil with parmesan, Olive & Herb with crackers, Lemon & Fennel with fish or fresh cheese).

13

Refresh crackers and olives as needed. Dispose of empty Perla containers and replace with new selections if you want to offer additional rounds.
