Cocktail

Method

Prep

1

Chill glass

Place your serving glass (rocks glass or coupe) in the freezer for a few minutes or fill it with ice water to chill while you prepare the cocktail.

2

Prepare rim (optional)

If you want a salted rim, run a lime wedge around the rim of the chilled glass, then dip the rim into a shallow plate of salt. Set the glass aside.

Mixing

3

Add the reposado tequila (2 oz), fresh lime juice (0.75 oz), orange liqueur (0.75 oz), agave syrup (0.5 oz), and 2 dashes of orange bitters into a cocktail shaker.

4

Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup).

5

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker becomes frosty and well-chilled.

6

If you prefer a smoother, slightly diluted drink, double-strain the mixture (pour through a Hawthorne strainer and then a fine mesh strainer) into the chilled serving glass over fresh ice (about 0.75 cup). For a straight-up presentation, strain into the chilled glass without ice.

Finish & Garnish

7

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim and an optional orange twist expressed over the surface to release oils.

8

Serve immediately. Sip and enjoy the smoky-vanilla notes from the reposado balanced with bright lime, orange-liqueur sweetness and a touch of agave.
