Ceviche Ingredients

Method

Preparation Directions

1

Prepare the Fish

Cut the tilapia fillets into small bite-sized pieces and place them in a glass or ceramic bowl.

2

Marinate the Fish

Pour the fresh lime juice over the tilapia, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour, allowing the fish to 'cook' in the lime juice.

3

Prepare the Vegetables

While the fish is marinating, dice the tomatoes, finely chop the red onion, jalapeño, and cilantro.

4

Combine Ingredients

After the marination time, remove the fish from the refrigerator. Drain a small portion of the lime juice if desired, then add the diced tomatoes, chopped red onion, jalapeño, and cilantro to the fish.

5

Season the Ceviche

Season the mixture with salt and black pepper to taste. Gently toss all ingredients together until well combined.

6

Serve

Serve the ceviche chilled, garnished with additional cilantro if desired. You can accompany it with tortilla chips or tostadas.
