Prepare workspace and tools
Sterilize a small glass jar with a tight-fitting lid (about 8 oz/240 ml) and any measuring utensils by rinsing with hot water and letting dry on a clean towel. Gather a small funnel and a clean spoon or small whisk.
Add active botanicals and balancing agents
Add 1 teaspoon oil of oregano, 1 teaspoon garlic extract, 1 teaspoon raw honey, and 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice to the jar. Note: if your oregano is a concentrated essential oil, use no more than 3–5 drops (approx. 1/8–1/4 tsp equivalent) — this recipe assumes a properly diluted oregano oil or an infused oil labeled for internal use.
Add optional supports
If using, add 1 teaspoon ground turmeric and a pinch of freshly ground black pepper. The black pepper increases curcumin absorption; turmeric adds an anti-inflammatory component.
Storage and use
Store the jar in a cool, dark place (cupboard) for up to 2–3 weeks. Refrigeration will thicken the oil; bring to room temperature and shake before use. Discard if you notice off odors, cloudiness beyond the normal oil appearance, or visible mold.
Dosage and serving suggestion: Take 1 teaspoon daily as a wellness oil, either straight or mixed into a small amount of warm water, tea, or blended into a dressing. For stronger acute use, up to 1 tablespoon daily may be taken for short periods (consult a healthcare professional if pregnant, nursing, on medication, or with chronic conditions).
Cooking note: This blend can be used as a finishing oil for salads, soups, or roasted vegetables — do not use for high-heat cooking as the beneficial compounds may degrade.
