Cold-pressed juice base

Method

Cold-pressed juice base

1

Prepare produce

Wash all produce thoroughly under cold running water. Use a vegetable brush on the apples and cucumber. Trim and discard any wilted kale parts and woody celery ends. Remove kale stems. Peel the lemon, ginger, and turmeric (if using). Core the apples and cut them into pieces that will fit your juicer's feed chute. Cut the cucumber and celery into similar-sized lengths.

2

Juicing

Assemble your cold-press (masticating) juicer according to the manufacturer's instructions. Feed ingredients into the juicer in this order for best extraction: greens (kale and spinach), celery, cucumber, apples, then ginger and turmeric, and finally the lemon. Pause as needed to allow the machine to process fibrous parts fully. Collect the juice in the provided jug.

3

Adjust and finish

Taste the freshly extracted juice. If it is too concentrated, stir in up to 2 tablespoons of filtered water to reach desired intensity. Add a pinch of sea salt to elevate flavors and stir gently to combine.

4

Serve

Pour the juice into a chilled glass over ice if desired (4 cubes). Serve immediately for maximum freshness and nutrient value. If storing, transfer to an airtight glass bottle and refrigerate; consume within 24–48 hours for best quality.
