Smoothie Base
Prepare fruit
Measure 1 cup frozen strawberries and 1 cup frozen blueberries. If using fresh berries, add 4 ice cubes to the blender to chill and approximate the frozen texture. Slice the half banana if needed for easier blending.
Add the strawberries, blueberries, and banana to the blender container.
Pour in 1 cup unsweetened almond milk around the fruit to help blending.
Flavor & Texture Enhancers
Add 2 tablespoons almond butter, 1 tablespoon ground hemp seeds (or hemp hearts), 1 teaspoon ground chia seeds (if using), and 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice to brighten flavors.
If you want the smoothie sweeter, add 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup. This is optional — taste and adjust after blending.
Blend & Finish
Secure the blender lid and start blending on low speed for 10–15 seconds to break up the frozen fruit, then increase to high and blend 30–45 seconds until smooth and creamy. If mixture is too thick, add almond milk 1–2 tablespoons at a time and pulse until desired consistency is reached.
Taste and adjust: add another 1/2 teaspoon honey or a splash more lemon juice if needed, then blend 5–10 seconds to incorporate.
Pour the smoothie into a 16–20 oz glass. Garnish with sliced strawberries or a few blueberries on top.
Serve immediately with a straw. If storing, keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within 24 hours; shake before drinking as separation may occur.
