Method
Smoothie Base
Prep fruits and almonds
If your dates are dry, soak them in warm water for 10 minutes then drain. If using whole raw almonds that are not pre-soaked, you can soak them in warm water for 15–20 minutes to soften (draining before blending) or use them as-is for more texture. Hull strawberries and rinse blueberries; peel and break banana into chunks.
Add to blender
Place banana chunks, hulled strawberries, blueberries, pitted dates, raw almonds, and cacao powder into a high-speed blender.
Add liquid and ice
Pour in 1 cup cold water (or almond milk for creamier texture). Add ice cubes if you want a chilled, thicker smoothie.
Blend
Start the blender on low for 10–15 seconds to combine, then increase to high and blend for 45–60 seconds until completely smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides once if needed. If the mixture is too thick, add 2 tablespoons of water at a time until desired consistency is reached.
Taste and adjust
Taste and add maple syrup or honey 1 teaspoon at a time if you prefer a sweeter smoothie. Blend briefly (5–10 seconds) to incorporate any added sweetener.
Garnish / Optional Boosters
Pour the smoothie into one large glass or two smaller glasses. Top with a few halved strawberries, a sprinkle of blueberries, raw almond halves, cacao nibs, and a dusting of hemp or chia seeds if using. Serve immediately.
