Enjoy a creamy and refreshing regular-sized strawberry shake made with ripe strawberries and smooth vanilla ice cream.

Fruited sour with cherry, blueberry and dry – hopped, and gone too soon.

Wash and pit the fresh cherries, then chop them in half. Rinse the blueberries and set both aside.

Prepare the Fruits

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add malted grain, and maintain a steady boil for 60 minutes to create the sour wort.

Create Sour Wort

Once the wort has cooled to room temperature, add 1 teaspoon of lactic acid bacteria and stir well. Allow it to ferment for 2-3 days to develop sourness.

After fermentation, pitch the yeast into the sour wort and allow it to ferment for an additional 1-2 weeks.

After the primary fermentation, add the prepared cherries and blueberries to the fermentation vessel. Also add 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir gently to combine.

Add Fruits and Flavorings

After another week, add 1 ounce of dry hops (Citra or Mosaic) to the fermentation vessel. Allow to sit for an additional 3-5 days.

Dry Hop

Once fermentation is complete, transfer the beer into sanitized bottles, ensuring to leave some space at the top. Cap the bottles and allow to carbonate for 1-2 weeks in a cool, dark place.

Bottle the Beer

Once carbonated, chill the bottles in the fridge. Serve cold and enjoy your homemade Ommegang Dream Patch Sour!
