Cocktail

Method

Prepare Cocktail

1

Build and shake

Add 2 oz Deep Eddy Ruby Red, 1 oz fresh grapefruit juice, 0.5 oz simple syrup, 0.25 oz fresh lime juice, and 1 dash Angostura bitters into a cocktail shaker filled halfway with ice. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled.

2

Prepare glass

Fill a highball or Collins glass with 1 cup of fresh ice (or enough to come near the top).

3

Strain

Double-strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass over the ice to remove small ice shards and any pulp.

Top & Finish

4

Top the strained cocktail with 3 oz club soda and then add a 1 oz splash of ginger beer to provide a bright effervescence and gingery bite. Gently stir once with a bar spoon (1–2 turns) to combine without flattening the carbonation.

5

Garnish with a grapefruit wheel or wedge on the rim and optionally tuck a mint sprig next to the garnish. Serve immediately with a straw.
