Cocktail Base
Berry Layer
Chocolate Drizzle & Garnish
Method
Berry Layer
Prepare the berry compote
Place the quartered strawberries, blueberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice in a small bowl. Gently mash about half of the fruit with a fork (leave some pieces whole for texture). Let sit 5–10 minutes to macerate and release juices; stir before using.
If you prefer a smoother berry layer, briefly pulse the macerated fruit in a food processor or blender for 3–5 short pulses, then chill until ready.
Chocolate Drizzle
Chill the serving glass (collins or large rocks glass) in the freezer for 5 minutes. When ready to assemble, use 1 tablespoon of chocolate syrup to drizzle the inside of the chilled glass in a spiral or vertical streaks; reserve the remaining tablespoon for finishing.
Cocktail Assembly & Shake
Combine and shake
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with frozen small ice cubes. Add vodka, coffee liqueur, Irish cream liqueur, heavy cream, and milk. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until well chilled and slightly frothy.
Add 2–3 tablespoons of the prepared berry compote (with some juice) into the chilled, chocolate-drizzled glass. Pour the shaken cocktail over a fine strainer into the glass so the larger ice shards remain in the shaker; this gives a smooth pour while allowing berry pieces to stay in the glass.
Gently stir once with a bar spoon to distribute the berry compote through the drink, creating a swirled 'mudslide' appearance with strawberry/blueberry streaks.
Garnish & Serve
Top with a dollop (about 2 tablespoons) of whipped cream, if using. Drizzle the remaining chocolate syrup over the whipped cream and around the rim for presentation.
Garnish with one halved fresh strawberry on the rim and scatter 4–6 fresh blueberries on top. Serve immediately with a straw and a cocktail spoon for the fruit.
