Cocktail

1

Chill glass

Place a martini/coupe glass in the freezer for at least 5 minutes or fill with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to ensure the glass is well chilled.

2

Combine ingredients

Add vodka (2 oz), Irish cream (1 oz), coffee liqueur (1 oz), Downeast Nitro Cold Brew (1 oz) and simple syrup (0.25 oz, optional) into a cocktail shaker. The simple syrup is optional depending on your sweetness preference and the roast/strength of the cold brew.

3

Add ice and shake vigorously

Fill the shaker with about 6 ice cubes, seal, and shake vigorously for 12–18 seconds. The vigorous shake with cold brew creates a silky, foamy top from the Nitro Cold Brew and aeration.

4

Fine strain

Discard the ice from the chilled glass. Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled martini/coupe glass using both the shaker strainer and a fine-mesh strainer (or a second Hawthorne/tea strainer) to ensure a smooth surface and remove any small ice shards.

Garnish

5

Garnish the surface of the cocktail with three coffee beans arranged in a triangle at the center of the foam. Serve immediately.
