Marinating the Chicken
Prepare the Marinade
In a large bowl, combine minced garlic, ground cumin, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to form a marinade.
Cooking the Chicken
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the Chicken
Place the marinated chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice golden color. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Making the Garlic Sauce
Prepare the Sauce
In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt, and water. Whisk until smooth and well blended.
Serving the Shawarma
Assemble the Shawarma
Slice the cooked chicken and place it in pita bread. Top with sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, and red onions.
Drizzle with Garlic Sauce
Generously drizzle the garlic sauce over the chicken and vegetables in the pita.
Serve and Enjoy
Serve the chicken shawarma warm with extra garlic sauce on the side.
