Method

Burger Preparation

1

Prepare the Patty

In a bowl, gently mix the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Be careful not to overwork the meat.

2

Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions, each weighing about 1/4 pound. Shape each portion into a ball and then flatten it into a patty about 3/4 inch thick.

Cooking the Burger

3

Heat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

4

Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until a brown crust forms. Flip the patties and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until they reach your desired doneness.

5

Add Cheese (Optional)

If using cheese, add a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking. Cover with a lid to help melt the cheese.

Assembling the Burger

6

Toast the Brioche Buns

While the patties are cooking, you can toast the brioche buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

7

Build the Burger

Place each cooked patty on the bottom half of the toasted brioche bun. Add any desired toppings such as ketchup, mustard, pickles, lettuce, and tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.
