Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Ingredients

Rinse the white rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch. This helps the rice to be fluffy after cooking.

2

Sauté the Garlic

In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

3

Add Rice and Spices

Add the rinsed rice to the saucepan with the sautéed garlic. Stir well to coat the rice with the oil and garlic. Sprinkle in the ground turmeric, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything together for another minute.

4

Cook the Rice

Pour in 2 cups of water and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan with a lid, and let the rice simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.

5

Fluff and Garnish

Once cooked, remove the saucepan from heat and let it sit covered for an additional 5 minutes. Then, fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
