Chicken Wings

Wisconsin Old Fashioned Maple Bourbon Glaze

Traditional Buffalo Sauce

Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Chicken Wings

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

Cooking

2

Bake the Wings

Spread the wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.

Making the Glaze or Sauce

3

Maple Bourbon Glaze

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine maple syrup, bourbon, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed and simmer for 10 minutes until slightly thickened.

4

Traditional Buffalo Sauce

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the hot sauce, garlic powder, and vinegar. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serving

5

Toss and Serve

Once the wings are cooked, toss them in either the maple bourbon glaze or the buffalo sauce until well coated. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
