Biscuit Ingredients
Method
Biscuit Preparation
Prepare the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
Cut in Butter
Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Shape the Biscuits
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently pat it into a rectangle about 1 inch thick. Use a biscuit cutter or a glass to cut out rounds, re-rolling scraps as necessary.
Bake
Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
Cool and Serve
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving with your favorite jelly.
