Chai Latte Preparation

Prepare the Spice Mixture

In a small bowl, mix together the ground cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, and black pepper. Set aside.

Boil Water

In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.

Add the black tea leaves or tea bags and the spice mixture to the boiling water. Reduce heat and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes.

Strain the tea mixture into another saucepan. Add 1 cup of milk and the sugar or sweetener. Heat until steaming but do not boil.
