Method

Smoothie Base

1

Prepare fruit

Hull and quarter the fresh strawberries. Peel and break the banana into pieces so it blends evenly.

2

Combine solids

Place the strawberries, banana pieces, plain yogurt, and honey (or maple syrup) into a blender.

3

Add 3 ice cubes to the blender to create a chilled, slightly thick texture. If you want a thinner consistency skip one ice cube.

Liquid Options

4

Pour in 1/2 cup of your chosen liquid. Use whole milk for a creamy default. If the customer requests almond milk (+$1.50), use 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk instead. If you prefer a thinner smoothie, add up to another 1/4 cup of liquid.

Optional Add-ins

5

If using add-ins, add them now: 1 tsp chia seeds for extra fiber, 1/4 tsp vanilla extract for depth, or 1 scoop protein powder for added protein. These are optional and should be added to the blender with the base ingredients.

Blend & Serve

6

Secure the blender lid and blend on high for 30–60 seconds, or until the mixture is smooth and evenly combined. Stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula if needed, then blend another 10–15 seconds.

7

Taste and adjust sweetness. Add an extra 1/2 tbs honey or a splash of almond milk if needed, then pulse briefly to combine.

8

Pour the smoothie into a chilled glass. Garnish with a strawberry slice and a mint leaf on the rim. Serve immediately with a straw.
