Method
Cocktail
Prepare glass
Chill a rocks glass or coupe by filling with ice and setting aside while you mix the cocktail (about 2–3 minutes).
Discard ice from the chilled glass and, if desired, rim the edge lightly by wetting with a drop of Baileys and dipping into a shallow plate of cocoa powder or grated chocolate.
Mix
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with fresh ice. Pour in 2 oz De Noux Vodka, 1 oz Baileys Irish Cream, and 1 oz half-and-half. The extra dairy lightens and softens the drink; if you prefer it stronger and a little thicker, reduce the half-and-half to 1/2 oz.
Shake
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is cold and the mixture is slightly frothy.
Strain & serve
Double-strain (or fine-strain) the cocktail into the chilled rocks glass over a single large ice cube or into the chilled coupe neat, depending on preference.
Garnish
Dust with 1 tsp cocoa powder and, if using, top with a few chocolate shavings. Serve immediately.
